How these dates are chosen – Bhoomi Pujan Muhurat
- Best lunar months: Vaishakha, Shravana, Margashirsha and Phalguna; Kartika is acceptable. The other months are avoided.
- Favourable nakshatras: Rohini, Mrigashira, Uttara Phalguni, Chitra, Anuradha, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati; Pushya, Hasta, Swati, Dhanishta and Shatabhisha are acceptable.
- Rikta tithis and Amavasya, Sunday and Tuesday are avoided. Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Dur Muhurat, Varjyam, Panchak and Bhadra are removed.
- No dates during Adhik Maas, Holashtak, Pitru Paksha, Kharmas, or while Jupiter or Venus is combust.
Vastu factors such as the direction of digging are not covered by these dates.
