Astrology as a subject is gaining popularity worldwide since the beginning of 20th century. It was a Hindu science which was lost in the middle somewhere and kept surfacing in various parts of the world with different names and rules.
The credit to revive astrology as a science in today`s world goes to the legendary Lt Shree B.V.Raman who gave all his life safeguarding and promoting astrology as a science and not just a myth or whims or someone and his grandfather shree B.Suryanarayan Rao ji.
With time, as it became popular, we saw advent of many astrologers in every corner of India who started predicting nonsense and looting innocent people. That trend only grew in leaps and bounds after television, Cable TV, Face book etc came.
Every day we see many astrologers on television and internet giving their daily weekly predictions and remedies, they are dressed in comical ways and give an image of some godly figure instead of an astrologer. This holds true for male and female astrologers, tarot readers, numerologists etc.
The problem lies in the fact that people still want a future teller to be presented like that. People want things fast and free mostly or at best affordable prices. Nirmal baba, raadhey maa, and such all baba, devi, sadhu, astrologers are one and the same who take advantage of this selfish thought of common man.
As per me, the work of an astrologer is to tell what things are promised in a horoscope of a native and when they are going to happen – if they are promised. The other work of astrologer is to provide remedies if the horoscope permits it. The real task of an astrologer is to make one believe in God and his creations and make him understand that whatever is destined cannot be undone by any baba, sadhu, swami, devi, maa , jyotish samrat etc but only good deeds of the querist only can do some good.
In today’s life, this feel of “magic”, “remedies” etc is doing nothing but making a person parasite who wants to do nothing but get everything.
We come across many people daily or at some point in our life who recommends an astrologer if we put forth any problem of ours. And the irony is we may meet a person who is accusing the same astrologer.
I am not going to talk about these quacks coming on television or those people who are simply asking for money to solve a problem of a native as these people are not astrologers as per not only classical books but as per Lt shree B.V.Raman ji also.
Those astrologers who give predictions and do not cultivate fear in the mind of the asker to snatch money from his pocket, I will be talking about them only as they are real astrologers. If one will read the book “My experiences in Astrology” of Shree B.V.Raman, one will come to know how much pains he took to remain truthful and not a cheat.
He has clearly mentioned in this book that when his favorable dashas were going on – his predictions were very accurate and when the period was not so favorable then his predictions failed at some point or another. To be so truthful about one self itself is a very brave task.
Then how will one come to know that whether an astrologer is running through a good period or bad? It is practically impossible and no astrologer will tell it in the first place. It is the same with scientists, doctors, engineers, politicians, movie actors that when they are going through a good time then things are automatically falling in place and when their time is not good then they have to struggle for a single penny also. We keep reading news of surgeon forgetting scissors in the stomach of the patient, towels and what not. This is all bad time.
Here comes the speak of another legend of astrology –Lt Shree K.S.Krishnamurthy who said in his second reader – the year of the edition I am not remembering, he said that if a person has done good deeds in the last birth then he will have proper guidance in present birth and if he has done grave sins then he will be ever wandering and no where he will find peace in this birth.
He further said that only when the querist and the astrologer are having a favorable time, the astrologer will be able to give correct prediction.
Thus astrology teaches us to do well and be good always with one and all. It no where means that astrology is fake; it simply implies that our own past karmas are responsible for what we reap in this birth. I have already cited the examples of doctors, engineers, scientists who when fail their science is not blamed.
Hindu astrology is a science which is based on set principles and exceptions just like physics or chemistry. So next time when you go to an astrologer and his prediction fails – do not think that he is not an able astrologer but it was your karma which didn’t allowed him to give correct prediction for you – It is as simple as a famous surgeon also has failures in his operations and the patient dies. Who is to be blamed? And never go to these quacks who are claiming miraculous changes in your life after you shell out loads of money to them.
The next thing is try to be good to others and inculcate sense of love, regards, and righteousness in you. It will do well to you in next birth at least if not in this one.
