What Is Shani Jayanti ?

The day of Shani devta’s birth in the month of Jyeshtha is known as Shani Jayanti. It is also called as Jyeshtha Amavasya.

Saturn is one of the nine planets who influence horoscope the most. Saturn when turns malefic is hard to handle. The negative effects can cause big problems.

Offer Shani idol, gangajal and then mustard oil.
Chant Shani Japa 23000 times in order to make life peaceful. If not able to do this, then chant shani mantra while doing eleven mala japa.
Offer beautiful jewels to the idol of Shani Devta.
Wherever you see ants coming out, feed them wheat and jaggery.
Hang horse shoe in your house. It symbolizes strength.

Procedure Of The Pooja

A special pooja and donation is done so that the period can pass without any trouble. People worship and donate food and clothes to old and physically challenged people. This Pooja is done to reduce the malefic effects of Saturn in the horoscopes showing any kind of dosha.
